I got this from rocksj2b2 before I moved out of Oregon. He sold it as Vulcano Stone, but it has the look of Swazi Bloodstone, except does not really have the hematite. Still have about 14oz end cut left to slab, and I think I have a 2nd piece of this rough stashed somewhere. In the hand, the overall color is darker and the contrast is lower. The scanner really made it pop. I took down the brightness and contrast a bit, but depending on your screen, it may still be showing a little too good.

That is real pretty. I'll bet when it is polished it will look that vibrant!

YESSSSS What a exceptional color-contrast. Lets see some cabs from that. I certainly look forward to.

Daniel: Sure glad you clarified the colour/contrast, since I too got some of this from J2B2, and mine is not this pretty. Still, it is a very nice material. Woody

yes, the light gray cloudy part and the darker translucent blue-gray mostly looks all the same under ordinary light. Also the black dose not jump out as much. But the red/blue contrast is about right. I'm looking back through my rough pictures, and I see that this particular chunk came from the Denver Colliseum show last year. It was sold without a name, so I suspect it is the stuff from South Africa. Everythign in this pic came home with me from Denver. I will see if I can find the piece I got from rocksj2b2.
