I finally finished one cab yesterday and took some pictures a little while ago outside. This cab has a nice shrub in the front with a tree line, clouds and a purple sky above...at least, that is what I see. I was making this one for my son who will spend Christmas floating with the USN this time. Our middle son lives with us and he seems to think this is too big for Eli. I sent the rest of his gifts on and try to figure out what else I can whip up that may work for him... It is not like he will have many opportunities to wear it anyway since most of the time he is in uniform. Here are a few views: On the hood of my supposedly clean car (washed yesterday) This is on some old wood with me blocking the sun Sun shining on it Thanks for looking! Fran

Fran, I love amethyst sage and you sure captured the perfect scent in that cab. It looks great.

I work with sage brush in my art. That stone looks like it would smell of sage. Beautiful stuff and great job. Jim

Thank you everyone and Ed, I got the rock that this slab came from, from a club member who was selling a lot of her rocks and slabs last year. She had collected this stuff with her husband over 30 years ago if I remember correctly. I think this is one of the Arizona rocks I had gotten from her. I recently bought 5 pounds of amethyst sage from a guy on line and I am happy with what I got but some are very dark and no purple to speak of so far as I slab them. Of course, the stone this cab came from cost me a dollar. Not going to see a deal like that again any time soon! Fran

That is a cool scene on there with the bush in the foreground and the sky with the clouds in back. Very nice cab.
