I've done a few labs but they were all done by hand with a dremel and felt burs. Dicky the Rock Hunter sent me a chunk to experiment with. I got 8- (one piece) 1/4" slabs out of it and I picked out the LEAST flashy one to do my first cab.... no problem. This stuff is dreamy to work! Love it and can't wait to work the rest of it (...when I get better!)! Here is my first cab, the flash is incredible but it's nothing compared to the rest of the slabs... Can't wait to start the others!: Thanks for taking your time to look at mine!!!!

Wow, what a top grade material! Don't hurry up workin' on it, "chew" those pieces for a while, they surely deserve to be turned into something special (like a set or such), which you surely can do.

Lab cabs !! LOL .... Beautiful work though, I would be inclined to leave the preforms as oblongs and just put a slight curve from side to side leaving the top and bottoms flat, they will make wonderful pendants.
Take care

BEAUTIFUL as ALWAYS! That is one amazing Lab and those little slabbettes are incredible. I have never worked Labradorite but have been so tempted to buy a chunk or two to experiment. Maybe I can ask Dicky to hook me up.! Ehhhh??? Thanks for posting Krystee. steve
