Shook Out The Cobwebs I cut a couple of very nice rocks a couple weeks ago. I searched through the rock pile for more of the same and nothing. So I got to thinking. About eight months ago I took a friend rockhounding. He is really more into finding gold than agate. I told him that the area at one time was claimed for gold and the claim markers had long since fallen over. Off to Red Bluff Mt. and to the jasper/agate producing area. He parked his truck about a hundred yards from where we normally pick for a few rocks. Well I got out and wonder around and there was a few agate pieces laying around and I picked up a couple of rocks and put them in his truck.. After returning home the rocks were tossed into the pile. A couple weeks ago I was looking for something different to cut and another Red Bluff Mt. surprise. Well off to the area for this new batch. This is just a few of the nice pieces. There are more photos to come. Nice solid slice. The white area is crystal that is encased in agate. Multi-colored slice. Closer look Another colorful slice but has a few cracks. Very nice short plume but the crystal is not agate filled. Little more yellow Closer look at the plume. If I can get away from the mountain and saws I will start cabbing a few. Thanks for looking. Don

Met Rocpup and his wife today. Great couple, many talents and an unbelievable amount of stash. Was limited on time, hope to get togather with them again. Sent me home with a handful of slabs and Cabs dancing in my head. Thanks Jim and a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Thanks Milt We will get together for a rock hunt. You set up the date. We will see if that new rig will get you there. I am always willing to share with a RTH member. Happy Holidays to all. Don and Yung

Is it hard to get into that area? I will be going by the Yuma area before I go to Q?

Third one down & last one are my favorites. To me those are killer slabs! Looking forward to seeing the cabs you do from those!

Brent A high clearance 4WD is required but not to difficult.
Donnie We have been back to the area three times in the past two weeks and I am way behind on the sawing. I have only made one cab this winter and the preforms are stacking up, terrible to be an old rockhound. Don
