Worked hard to block this rock down for the LS12 and get these two slabs. I could see the scene I wanted on the cut face. It has the gold dot on the hill. Also got the other with the red dot. I think there will be two more in the rock once I clamp it up. The rock was 7x6x3 tapering to 1 Slabs: Dry shot: Damp shot: I will make 3x3 square tiles, and will hiss at anyone that says to cab them.

Or, you could turn it around and the scene is a snowy hill with the northern lights in the sky. Jo

Tiles huh, Yes, I think that would be some beautiful tiles! If you can get a couple more out of that rock, you could make a nice inlay alternating with other tiles or rocks. Use as a tray, table top, backsplash in the kitchen. The possibilities are endless! Beautiful material! Now, have you noticed the face, side view, looking down from the red line on the r of the yellow dot slab? Really adds to it I think! Fran

frane: no notches or vugs or fractures. I cut all those out. I will put the tile in the top of high quality wood boxes.

Looks nice, should produce some awesome cabs. should NOT produce any cabs. the whole is far greater than any part could aspire.

". . . . should NOT produce any cabs. the whole is far greater than any part could aspire."
I agree! I think that is why member bobby1 makes very large cabs.
Do you know what material that is? It is beautiful.
Oops, I see it is Scenic Polka Dot! Don

Nice tiles!! flat lap-em. I will have to put my belt sander and end plates into use. Flat lap is still on the wish list.
