For fans of old equipment, I am working on restoring an OLD covington slab saw (I have the 16" on page 3), and had trouble finding out details of its original condition. Covington was kind enough to dig through some closets and send me some old catalogs so I could get pictures of the saw in its original condition. If you're like me and enjoy looking at the old lapidary mfr catalogs, I scanned the oldest one to a pdf. It's not dated, so if anyone has some educated guesses about what year this might have been, please let me know. I'm guessing this one is somewhere around the 50's. I'll also be scanning the other old ones they sent me eventually, so let me know if you have any issues with the pdf or suggestions for making the scans better. Enjoy! PDF: Covington Catalog #6103.pdf
