Thank you all..............it helps when your husband has a pest control customer that has it on his private ranch! I sniffed this find out over a year ago and just found enough time to go check on it further. Only my husband has the key to get through the gate! Spending the last few years hunting with Jamie has taught me to tell the difference between 'paint' and good chrysocolla. So, actually, I have my husband and Jamie to thank for this find!

I cabbed the piece from pic 5 & 6 which is both sides. Pic 5 is one side and 6 is the other. It turned out AMAZING! It took such a beautiful shine! I was a little nervous about the quality since this was my first time to find chrysocolla on my own. I want to wait unitl tomorrow so I can take a pic in daylight, my lighting sucks and I want you to see how beautiful this chrys is! I only brought back a few pieces to make sure the quality is good but I am going back really, really soon to get more! I will post the cab tomorrow!

Ya did good on that find Sheri. Now go back and get a ton or two more. We won't tell if you sell a few pounds. I might even be interested in a chunk big enough to make a 3 or 4 inch sphere out of. Don

That is one gorgeous cab. Glad you found that chrysocolla. It is awesome when a rockhound finds a good rock especially when they show it off to all of us for drooling purposes.

I really can't sell it cause I don't have a claim but I will try to bring back a few extra pieces to send out. All you will have to do is pay for postage. Diane and I found some new bacon agate also! The pieces of chrysocolla are smaller than fist size and I can't legally dig for more. All I can do is search through the tailing piles but there is still a bunch out there! It is very expensive to get a claim and I don't know anybody around that has one. Sometimes it sucks to be a law abiding citizen even if I don't agree with the law!

Since you said it was on a private ranch I don't know what good a claim would do you anyways. All you would need to dig, sell, or do whatever you want with it would be to have permission from the ranch owner unless the ranch has only grazing rights and not deeded land.

wow Sheri that looks like great stuff, I would love to have a chunk of the bacon agate if you have extra, if not don't worry about it. Sorry I was so blunt and to the point. I have been following this thread though.
Thanks,
Tammy
