UPDATE I just got the box today. I took a slew of pics and will start the new thread as soon as I have the chance. I have been super busy today. As for getting in on the second box--- I'm not sure it has been decided if this will be a whole new run or just a split off from the first. So, let me get the new thread up when it is decided and your question will be answered. I've never done a rock box before or run one before- so you will have to bear with me.

You should get it soon - I ought to be able to get it back in the mail tomorrow hopefully, then Dee, then you! Hopefully my mailperson didn't pull her favorite trick and leave one of those stupid orange cards . . . she sometimes does that even when no signature is required.

Hrm... if she's not strong enough to lug it to the door, she probably did so she wouldn't have to take up there:P.

Ha! Yeah probably! I'm sure the box will be shredded -- nothing makes it through the USPS LAX distribution center in one piece. I better stop and get some more boxes.

Whoohoo! Christmas in Aug. for Bluesky! Yep, Helen, you're after me! Since I'll be slabbing what I can on my 12" for you, it may take a while~ I'm always surprised how long rock takes to saw!

Haha, well, I'll see what rough is in the box. If it's awesome, I'll take it out and replace it with some ugly slabs so Dee doesn't have to slab it. JK!

Just checked the other box and some of the stuff that was to go down the line went sideways. I stated in the other thread that things got a little confusing and we all should have taken out as much as we put in. Maybe it should be done by weight. Can't send out one ounce more than you receive. There is extra rhodocrosite and Helen is going to get back some of her Florida agate that people missed. Plus, if it would have come to me as a large box full of rocks I could not have lifted it. Jim

Great, Tela, thanks for fixing the mixup. PM'd you my address. Does your grandson tumble?
Also, to everybody, see those round white chalky thingymabobs in Tela's pictures? What are those? I can't tell what is just stuff to fill the box so it doesn't rattle around, and what is "good stuff" that people will be wanting.

No prob- glad it's all sorted.
Those white balls were toss ins for fill. I was curious, too which is why I took a couple. I'm thinking they might be apatite.
Lots of the stuff pictured in groups were sorted and tagged. I just ran out of time to label all the pics.

Well, your picture-taking is so much more thorough than mine is going to me! ;-) I'll take a photo of your fish fir everyone to see (it's beautiful), but that's probably it - the rest of the stuff is wrapped and baggied, taped up already - did that last night before I realized what was going on. Will do the picture taking of my swaps when I get your box.
