Actually, I think the Malachite is in the box on its way to me right now. I don't see it in Tela's "rocks I kept" picture; only in the "here's what was in the box" picture.

Great gesture Bill. When I send stuff to people I try to make it known that if they can not use it it may as well go to someone else. Kind of like getting a tie for your birthday and you do not own a suit. lol Jim

Yeah, It looks like tiger eye, only in green. . . I would like to see it as well! As you all noted, I didn't want to be a 'dog in the manger' as my grand-pappy used to say. And I felt bad too, 'cause this occurred right about the time Chad left. He then sent me a 2nd pkg. with some awesome dendritic stuff! Had to send him a card to thank him cause when I went to pm him and phttt, he was gone. Bill

Well, I feel dumb  I guess it is in the box. I didn't take it out, so it should be in there still.

I don't know why I paid for priority if they can't get them there. I did give you the tracking info, right? It is at least in the same state, isn't it? Sheez.

They're probably holding it at LAX to give it the "special box destroying treatment". That's what the extra cost is REALLY for. I think you PMd me the number, brb.
Ok, USPS.com says "out for delivery" today. Fingers crossed.

LOL! The Special Box Destroying treatment!!! HAAAA!!!!
Years ago, I imported some orchid plants, via both LAX and Seattle, and LAX DEFINITELY had the 'box destroying treatment' with their fumigation facilities:). Too funny:).

The only boxes that arrive intact are the ones that are completely wrapped in tape. I have had boxes arrive with the rocks literally falling out of them before.

Well, having never mailed a big box of rocks..... I used the inside box from the last one, so it is double boxed and taped and then did that saran wrap packing stuff. I sure as hell hope hope it gets there ok.

Haha! Ok, so we now have ONE box, not too jammed, headed to Diana tomorrow. In a second I'll edit with pics - I'm not sure which camera some of them are on though. Having to combine pics I took originally (before I packed slabs up) with pics I took tonight, so . . . not the greatest quality. Tela's jewelry is totally awesome, y'all, I love it! I wanted to take it all. :-) But I only took 1/3 (2 pieces), since there are two more people. You do great work Tela! I am very impressed. Love the Alaska rocks too Geoff, especially the red one that is like moss, but not like other moss I've seen. Had to have a slice of that. Roy's slabs are darn nice too! I think I took at least one of those. And whoever contributed the purple and white one, Love it! My pictures aren't going to do justice to the stuff! Ok, I'll stop now, have to actually go back and get my photos off the card and stick them in here. ;-) Edited to add pics (from the subpar camera, sorry for orange cast. The "rug" thing is butter yellow, for reference.): What I took out: Had to take out most of the rough to fit the slabs in (which is what Dee and Helen said they wanted most). What I put in: Couple pieces of Horse Canyon: Three nice moss slabs: Kona, More Moss, Red (heat treated) tigereye with Hematite, Picasso preforms: Couple of picture jaspers: I think a couple of other things may have ended up in there as well (I added more rhodochrosite, can't even really remember now). Between two evenings going through the box, taking stuff out, putting stuff in, taking stuff out, putting stuff in . . . things are starting to blur! Anyway, it's been super fun, and I hope Dee and Helen like the box as it comes to them. I know we've all had a great time with it!

Oh Susan, I didn't mean I thought you should get it out by tomorrow!!! Please don't feel pressured!!!
I just meant that if I got the box, I'd spend a few hours unwrapping, looking at everything, pawing through it all. If you are already done unpacking and packing, there's no way you got a good look at everything! Please take your time Susan, it's been a long wait for you, so I hope it's fun:).
