Thanks for coordinating all this, Helen. This was a lot of fun and it was great to learn more about the various participants. RTH has great people!

I am wondering if you are going to get anything back that you put in. I know that one thing I put in went all the way because we missed one person. So you have a blood red funky cab with a groove around it. Jim

Ok... first let me say... WOWWWWW!!! I REALLY hope you guys had fun and enjoyed the box, because I sure did!!! There was soooo much stuffed in the box, it would take dozens of pix to shoot it all... so I'm just going to list the highlights and what I liked best personally!! First, here's everything in the box with all the goodies (Stuffed): So to start with the jewelry: Dee's gorgeous pink set.. that main ball is something else!!! It's adorable! Tela's (thanks Susan and Dee for letting me have so many!) I KNOW more of you could have taken stuff... this is way more than I expected!! Gorgeous things from people earlier on... I got a slab of Roy's purple sage! You know, this would have been the piece I would have picked if I got to pick one! Thank you ladies! Opals- I got the cut opals from Alisha and from Zach too (WHO can cut opals this small? ) Cabs from Tela: Cabs from Dee: Preforms from... not sure who put these in, but they are neat: Love these from Susan: I forgot who put this one in (Tela?), but I really wanted an indian paint stone, it's one of the few picture rock types I didn't have!! And look what Dee put in!!! Holy smokes! There were findings, wire, mountings, slabs, preforms, more slabs... it was so exciting!! You know, I was happy to get leftovers, but everything was great!! You guys are amazing, but I'm still wondering why you didn't take more out!!! On top of that, Susan AND Tela each sent me MORE rocks to add to the next box! Thank you all for participating!!! I hope you had fun!!! I'm going to take a small break to sort before posting sign ups again (the people I mentioned earlier who wanted in the box need to confirm that they are still interested too please!).

It was a hoot.
I see that the blood red really different groove cab is still in there. lol Made the full circle. I really thought someone would like to try something outside the box. Not the traveling box, the art of jewelry box. Ok Helen, you have to wrap that thing and show everyone what they missed. lol Ok, ya'll need to stop throwing rocks at me now. Jim

Jim, I think everybody thought that was intended for somebody -- didn't you way something about that early on?

Yes I did say that but that person had to drop out so it was fair game. It was my fault that I did not make that more clear so I can see where there would be some confusion there. Plus I shifted into whinny mode so Helen might jump right up and wrap it. Ok, I am out of whinny mode now. Sorry Jim

Wow Helen....you'd just better box all that up and send it out again. LOL Can't wait to see what you do with it all.

Thanks Pat, glad you participated!!
LOL! Jim and Susan, I will try to wrap it, and I got some 'good' wire too! So i can actually try wrapping some more stuff:)! I think that the groove will actually be perfect to use with my stiff as bricks copper wire! hehe!
Mike, I will send much of it out again... but not all of it! Mine mine mine mine!!!
When I do sign ups for the box again, it will go out a full box:).
I may change the premise a bit, this was a pretty high quality box from start to finish, and I think maybe people were intimidated to take more out, feeling obligated to put more in, so I am taking what I learned here and thinking of a better way to do it so it's easier and more fun for everyone:). Suggestions are always appreciated!!

This was a blast, Helen. Thanks for organizing it! Would love to participate again with this group but will gladly bow out if there are others who would like to jump in that didn't get in on the first round. You ROCK, Helen! Paul

I also enjoyed participating. I saw this box as similar to buying a 4-H pig. I have been the recipient of the generosity of individual members, and welcomed the chance to extend the same to the community. The only suggestions I would have is to keep the box at the agreed size and require a minimum of 1/4 of the box to be changed out at each stop.

Bumping topic back up.
Election's over, some people enjoyed all the fighting, others thought it was terrible. Fight's over, not a single one of us made the decisions, regardless of our contributions. By my own estimate, the forum was about a 50/50 split anyway, so we all nulled each other's votes. LOL!
Is anyone ready for a 2nd Newbie Traveling Box? I'm thinking a 15 person limit again so we can keep the box moving quickly (you keep the box 48 hours, and SHIP it, unless you have an emergency come up), and I'll shuffle those interested around so we have a different shipping order.
If we get some interest on this thread, I'll start a 2nd post with new box and more details/rules, based on what we learned last time. It's been so long, not sure if any of the original people who expressed interest still want in.
Who's interested:)? (Don - Jakesrocks, Jim - Wampidy, Jan-Gingerkid are already in).
