Thanks Paul

Helen - slight change, why don't you put me on the stand-by lists (like the airlines ) in the event that you have open spots. Looks like there's a lot of interest so I'll be your "filler" LOL. Thanks, this was a fun run! Paul

I too would like to be on the stand-by list. Since Paul in particular and other rockhounds were so generous in the last round, I have way more rocks, slabs, etc than I'll be able to work on for a while with my little rotary tool. Sheri's pay it forward contest led to some great paid forward swaps, too, so, for the moment, I have way more than I know what to do with. If you want some more to start a box, I still have a 3/4 of the way full MFR box of common pet wood tailings at various ages from none other than the one and only John Church out in Virgin Valley (he has great deals since he is the original miner-FYI for opal enthusiasts and pet wood lovers alike his website is www.virginvalleyopal.com. He is an honest man who has been out there personally mining for years so I wouldn't go anywhere else. Though pet wood is a favorite, I'd be more than happy to contribute at least a large baggies full so everyone gets some :-) I also have a few different uncut Kentucky geodes of various sizes if there's room in the box from a trade I did with rockncajun (Thanks again, man!) and a large piece of lanoite that would need slabbed. Both are harder materials, and though I'm hoarding some of it, my current set up isn't quite adequate enough to justify having that much (we just moved 45 minutes down the road so I am trying to get rid of at least some of the stuff i know ill never get to) If you want it, I can send all of that to someone to cut what needs cut for the box. Any volunteers? Lol

Going to leave just this thread through the weekend, so people who haven't logged in or out of town can see it. Will start a new thread Monday or Tues:).
This is a fun thing, it's just some rock swaping, stuff you have extra of for stuff you don't have any of, and it was a lot of fun last time! We have room for 7 or 8 more, so if you'd like to participate, let us know:).

I'm going to test drive the larger saw this weekend. If it works out okay, I'll have some larger slabs to include in the box. Let me know if you want them sent out.
Thanks Paul

Ok, some information about my interests and some of the things available for the swap whenever I get the chance to participate:
My main interest is tumbling rocks to add to my collection of tumbled rocks. I like to collect rocks from different states and different parts of the world. I mostly like tumbled rocks and rough material to tumble, but could enjoy many other things too.
These are some of the rough specimens that I have available. Their size range from 1” to 5” and some are heavy. Amethyst , Brazilian Agates, Blue tiger eye, CA talc/soapstone , CA calcite, CA Bishop tuff, CA Magnetite, CA Pyrite, CA Sulfur, CA Cooper , Gold tiger eye, Graveyard plume, Mexican Moss agate, Picture rock from Succor Creek, Prairie agates, Yellow skin agate, and who knows what else I have around. Oh, and a couple of slabs as well.
Other things that I have available that come to mind are tumbled rocks of many different types and rock tumbling supplies, as I always have extra stuff available.
I have a lot of patience to wait, so I don't mind it. I just want to make sure that I'm signed to the list, and wait for my turn. Its going to be fun! ;D
P.S. Is there a weight/size limit to the rocks to be sent?

Hi Dora, and everyone else interested:)!
There isn't a lot of rules, other than to TAKE as much out as you put in, so our 1 medium box doesn't grow to 1 large AND 1 medium box like last time:P.
Will post more rules come Monday night (basically same as last time, with a few more additions - like take out as much as you put in, and be considerate of others in the swap, and do not put in something so junky you couldn't sell it on ebay... if you don't have anything to replace, that OK, stuff some padding in)...
Read the rules from last time (this thread), and will update Monday nite on a different thread. I hope to have more rocks to start the box myself by then:).
