Hi Guys !
Like to know from some of the RTH savvy web searcher what would be a good site to do a person's search ? I just want to gather basic info
I found People Finders they want me to pay I'm not against that but don't want to give my personal info
Yet when I search for Me it brings up relevant info on my own person that I seek
Anyone have any suggestions advice ?
Thanks!! Ed

I guess this subject a bit more difficult than I imagine As anyone ever paid for a service to track a person ? If so how did it work ? Or was it too much personal info to divulge? Thanks Ed

Ed, take a look at the source that showed your information for a start. There are public state and county records that tell a lot.

That source was People Finders www.peoplefinders.com/I got to that through a search engine called DogPile I guess DogPile is premium web site for initial people searches So People Finder had -Geesh- lots tracking info on me last 20 years of all the locations I lived public viewing which is fine but like I said it showed the person I was seeking but wanted me to pay for more pertinent info I don't really want in depth info Its just that I got a phone call and the person wouldn't identify their-selves but I got the phone number on caller I.D. So the person I think it was I had no idea would be calling from a California location so I just wanted to see if they had moved anyway this gets complicated real fast trying to explain no malice or bad particularly just curious Thanks Pat Have rock'n Sunday ! I've found a lot of info on Spokeo.com. And you can pay and get more. Jean

Ed, check that site that had all of your info. At least one and probably more of those sites have an opt out provision that allows you to stop them from giving out your personal info.
I think most of those sites will give you just enough info to wet your curiosity, then make you pay for more info.

What kind of info are you looking for?
If you want to google someone, just google their name to see if they have websites, etc. If you are looking for criminal background information, you generally have to pay for that. You can get it by looking at county or state records, but you have to have their exact name, city/state, and date of birth.
Reverse lookup on white pages if you are looking for a phone # ... but with just a name, there's usually more than 1 person with the same name in the USA, so you have to at least know the city.
If you can just say what info you have (First/last name? City, State? Address? DOB? Phone #?), and then what kind of info you are looking for... it would be a lot easier to answer the question:).

O I have all the personal info on the person I seek, Helen and I'm pulling up some pertinent info
I have the phone number from the caller --off my caller I.D but when I do reverse calling data it comes back with phone number unlisted I find that strange that it would list on my caller I.D but be officially unlisted
Anyway the call I got came from California and the last I knew that person was N.C. being that hey wouldn't identify their-selves I just wanted to know if that person now lives in California the mystery will eventually come to light
Thanks again All E D

Maybe the call came from a cell phone? I don't THINK cell phone #'s can be reverse looked up. Then there's Skype and Vonage phones too.
If it's a curiosity thing, you probably don't want to spend any money, but if it's important, it may be worth it to pay for a report...
Personally, I'd type the person's name, city and state into google, then try yahoo, then try every search engine in turn to see if they get different results.

That good info Helen
just to complicate the mystery a bit more one site told me the phone number was a land line didn't particularly say who owned it but info nonetheless
see my gut tells me not to pursue this issue the person know how to reach me but there also a sensitive person perhaps in a difficult situation that I care about tremendously
but they need to make the first concrete step to contact oh its a troubled situation for all parties past issues that just grow deeper funny they say the past doesn't exist but if left on resolved it can trouble the future
this concerns a certain set of people their past was rudely interrupted me? I've come a long ways the future just here now-- and the dreams are past
Ed philosophizing out loud mostly

Facebook has helped me find alot of people, just a suggestion.
Do you want to just put it in God's hands. You seem to have a certain way with synchronicity, Ed.
I guess it depends on how badly you want to find them. Jo

Thanks Jo Yes, synchronicity we'll have to play the role its intended for things we'll eventually come around these folks know how I feel for them and they know that I've always left the door open
Yet, I'm in no position to help or extend myself for loved ones that have a burden O-- a burden I'd of loved to have corrected but the past happened the way it did and we all need to have our hearts healed
that may only happen in God's good graces peace to them for all I know they may be reading these posts.

My situation as taken a very strange twist and I think some of the information I’ve got is pertinent to a wider audience.
In order for me to explain this a little more and how its important to a wider audience I need to say that this phone call was not to me. It was to my Mom. My Mom then relayed the information to me. I assumed it had to do with a past relationship. That may be a misnomer now
I was telling this story to another person. Immediately he stopped me and told me my suspicions about the phone call may be off base It happened to his mother.
A person calls an elderly lady and makes emotional claims about being a relative that needs help. The scam behind it is to get the unsuspecting sympathetic person to wire money out!
This is called the Grandmother Phone Scam The web is full of these warnings
I don’t like it that my Mom lives alone In this case though she handled the situation excellently
