I needed to spend some time in the shop today and destress a little. This is what I did! This one is from the time that person decieded to drive thru part of my yard and kicked this up out of the road next to the yard. Some of you may remember that. Never did find out who it was. Anyway, some good did come out of it in this rock. Willow Creek from Cathy (talkingstones) This is a doublett I put together a long time ago. Not real wowish but it worked up real nice. Varisite - I think Flourite from contest winnings. Thanks Diana! Would have looked better off the dop stick. Just try and look around it please My last piece of CrazyLace of this type Feather Agate Az rainbow wood a little better pic. Minus the lint ;D A local jasp/ ag defined!! And this was my best slabbing for today - or any other day for that matter! I recieved this in a trade with Lowell. All I know is that it is from Mexico. Thanks for lookin ;D

Great cabs! The Crazy lace is my favorite. That blur green one may be amazonite ( microline feldspar) rather than variscite and that last agate appears to be Malawi Agate out of Africa. Lowell had a lot of African nodules as he just sent me a bunch to tumble. Some may have got mixed in with his Mexican stuff...Mel

Theres a whole lot of great stuff packed in one post here. The willow might be my favorite though with the crazy lace being a very close second.

Those are superb, Gary. I agree with Mel on the sixth photo being amazonite. That flourite took a really nice polish, really like the feather agate, the colors of the rainbow p wood, and love that red/white jasp/agate kite! Keep 'em coming! Jean

Thanks all!! rockjunquie, yes it worked, much happier now. Although, looking at this post, they did not photograph like they would, (are) in your hand and , I'm a bit bummed about that because they did turn out reall well. All have that shine like the Az rainbow wood but, didn't show up that way. Mel and frog, you both are right on the amazonite. That is what it is! I'm just a space cadet on remembering that one for some reason. And, thanks for the Id on that agate Mel ! Daniel, post some pics of your feather agate if you want. I really like that material and this one I did took a great shine (a 10) but, you can't tell from this photo of mine. Just can't figure out how to get the shine apparent photos yet

Cathy, that willow is a pleasure to work. Gives one pause though in the patience department. All in all, I really love this stuff!. I've got a piece of it from Donnie that is of totally different color and will be workin that one soon. If I can get to Q-site this year, I'll be looking for quanties of this material. I've got a bola piece of your W C dopped up and ready for the shaping. Pics soon!

Greg I always love it when you post your cabs. I always learn something from your workmanship. I love the shine on that Rainbow wood and the touch of yellow in the Crazy Lace. Stu
