So I got a very gently used Genie from John over at Jsgems last week in the Denver show. I've been working all hours of the day and night and haven't had a chance to get to touch it until today. The honey-do list was not too bad today so I finally headed down about 30 minutes ago. I worked a straight edge to a round bevel on a scrap piece of Montana to break in each of the wheels and was happy to see it take a nice shine, even without going to polish, just stopping on the 3000 Nova. I took this little piece of Noreena Jasper and worked it for about 20 minutes, and this is the result, and I am thrilled! This is the first time I've seen Noreena with a shine, with my own eyes, and I couldn't be happier! Thanks John, and thanks to all of you who continue to show me the way to make this stuff happen. I know this is a pretty humble start, but like I said I am thrilled!

Very cool. Nice cab, the polish is nice, but can you imagine what it is going to be like when you do polish it? Congrats.

I remember that feeling. I bought a crappy Inland flat lap and decided I was a failure at cabbing....until I found a Genie on Craig's List.
Congrats...that honey do list can wait .

I remember the thrill! And I still feel it. Congratulations on your acquisition and the fun of it--may that fun continue for you forever. (or at least 50 years or so)

Very nice cab John! Though I must admit it pisses me off when cabbing newbies do better cabs than I do after 40 years *L*....Mel

Very nice cab for a "break in". I cut my cabbing teeth on SC wheels and SC belts on expando drums. I couldn't believe how quick everything progressed when I got my Genie. There's no stopping you now.

OK, that is a first and an itty bitty one at that! You did a great job! I love my geni too! Had an inland flat lap first and still use it for finishing off preform shapes before cabbing but that is about all it is good for now. Beautiful cab! Fran
