We had one of the better shows around here this past weekend. It wasn't as good as it used to be, just 3 people selling slabs but that's not bad for around here. Here's what Amber and I bought. The whole lot part 1 The whole lot part 2 Scarn from Russia Wendover plume Same backlit Graveyard Very different looking rhodonite from California Seller calls it Mint Julip jasper but bought it as something else, he couldn't remember the name. Same backlit White, black and pyrite. Any ideas? Flame Same backlit Pine cone slice?

good range of color and pattern. I suspect you had fun shopping. Hope the show is better next year.

Looks like you had some great finds! I always goof up at shows on rocks. I think it's because I feel rushed. Anyway, even though I have resolved to despise flame for eternity.... that is one really seriously cool one!!!

Great lot ! I appreciate the subtle difference in that rhodonite . The spotted one is amygdaloidal basalt -ive seen it called flower jasper and plumite jasper . The pyrite one is likely a pyrite schist, likely hornblend and calcite and or quartz with it. im partial to the pinecone, for what it is .

Great buys Tony and Amber! That Flame is fabulous! I think your Wendover Plume is actually Wingate Plume...probably even better! i like that Brazilian slice too. Should make a great cab. steve

Those are really cool. Do you know what that second to last slab is? It looks like the rocks I picked off of copper mine tailing piles in Michigan this summer.
