the red does give great contrast to the cells. is the red softer? do you think it will undercut?

Daniel the reddish matrix around the agatized cell structure is softer and will prolly undercut. I haven't worked this stuff yet but that's my gut instinct.

I have a few pieces like that. I can't decide whether to go for the undercutting and design with a bone-pebble effect. Or, to try and stabilize/harden by impregnating with diluted epoxy.
