I`ve been trying to cut up a lot of the small rocks I have collected over time. Most of these are just big enough for 1 cab each. Maybe 2 out of a couple of them.

nothing wrong with small slabs, sometimes they have the best details in them. Even if there's only one cab in each you still got a bunch of nice ones there.

i like them that size; no decisions to make, just put it to the wheel and start forming what comes out

I gotta agree with Clyde and Itsandbits here. Some of the time if I study a slab and pick out a shape, outline it and trim to preform, it chips or breaks on the grinding wheel and I have to wing it anyhow. I like to step up to the wheel and let the rock guide me to the shape it takes. The spotted brown one on th left is called cheetah agate but it looks more like a jasper and has some blue crystals in the matrix.

Nice batch of slabettes. I've gotten some of my best cabs that way, but its more time consuming than larger pieces to both slab and cab. Looks like some nice cabs in that batch.
