Took a bite out of a few rocks today and wanted to share with you all here's an agate i found on the Verde a few weeks ago this was from an estate sale a while back. Very green as it was covered in lots of old shalaque a cut shows some nice blue two agates I picked up at the Black Canyon show in early November. First one I thought might be a Coyomito after cutting I believe it's a Botswana next one I had no idea nice little surprise, maybe a Luguna? last two are dino bone Thanks for looking

those are great agates! I love cutting into rocks like that when they dont show any treasure till you open them up. Nice dino bone too.

Oh wow, that last bone is super cool! Awesome color. Think the second agate nodule looks to be a Moctazuma....Mel

Yep...I'd agree with Mel on the Moctezuma. I would've guessed something other than Botswana for that first one...the outer rind is a little odd...but the interior says Bot. You scored big on the last bone. SWEET COLORS! It will be another few months before I even start to think about cutting again. I was itching to get it out today...but knew I better just be patient. steve

Thanks all! With our two Mexican Agate Aficionados checking in (Mel and Steve) I feel comfortable calling the second unknown agate a Moctezuma! ;D

Those are sweet, Beef! ;D What is the material that you cut from the estate sale? Is it blue from the shellac?
