Hi everyone! I have a question for the group. I bought several hundred pounds of rock at auction. As I sorted through the packages, I came across a variety of small pieces of Tourmaline. Most are green, and there are two larger pieces that I cannot identify for sure, but are much larger, and a deep pinkish ruby red. From what I can see, there are inclusions, and they do not appear to be super clear, the nicest one is actually quite clear, with minor inclusions and a really pretty blue green, not olive green like the rest. It is about 15mm long, and 10 mm across the crystal. The rest of them are larger, in some cases a LOT larger, but hard to see through. I don't know if this is inclusions, cracks or the size. My question is this: Is there a market for these stones, and if so how do I go about valuing them? Thanks!! I posted this in two places... Sorry I don't mean to spam, just wasn't sure where to put it. Thanks. Terri

Tourmaline is a faceting material if it's fairly clean and translucent. Just Google Tourmaline faceting rough and you will find some prices on e bay and other sights that sell rough.

Thanks Steve, I looked up Tourmaline, didn't get much info. I will see if this refinement helps.
