It makes beautiful counter tops. We found a broken off piece at a recycles building materials place, they let us take it home.

The Bank of America downtown was torn down in the 1950s. It had been faced with it. I have few chunks of it. Interesting and attractive.

Bluer hunks of similar material are commonly used for kitchen counters in SoCal. I have 50# that were given to me!

Gotta love this great granite, Tandl! My Aunt gave us a bunch when she had her bathroom renovated, and it's nice to know the name. Have to say that yours is a lot more translucent than her counter-top material! Kris
