Howdy folks, Had some time on my hands this morning so I visited the annual gem show at Fredricksburg, Texas. Pretty decent show this year as a couple of guys showed up with trailers of rough and slabs. Here are a few pics of what I picked up. Thanks for looking....Mel I always hit the Colorado dino bone booth first. Got a few one cab wonder slabs from his dollar bin. I think this is one of the best way to buy bone if you like to make free form cabs. Another guy had a trailer of rough from West Texas and adjacent Mexico. These appear to be nodules from around Ojinaga near the Big Bend area. One of them may be good plume when oriented differently. Another guy had hit the new Eagle Pass quarry for Rio Grande agate. He sprayed this one with acrylic so it wouldn't photograph well but its an orbicular agate and grades to bright green color on the back. And finally, I couldn't resist an unusual slab of Mexican Flame Agate.

Nice pieces Mel.
Is that flame agate solid? It's awesome cool, but looks kinda crumbly.

Nate: It's very solid except for a softer, unfilled streak running diagonally through the center....Mel

That's the part that looked a little crumbly. I hoped the whole piece wasn't like that. Sure has awesome coloring!
Thanks Mel.
