Recently our club had some rough rock donated to us and it included some Tiffany Stone nodules. I'm slabbimg them up for our monthly silent auction at the general meeting. What do you think should be the minimum bid price? It is about 4" tall and is quite solid. Bob

That is beautiful and rare! You could make a lot of money at your club auction with those! Hopefully they know what they are getting there!

I've had a lot of interest from members when I told them that I had some good Tiffany Stone in the saw and it would be available at the silent auction. Last year A friend of mine donated some leftover stuff from when he closed his shop. It was jeweler's tools, burrs, small wheels and such. That was when I started having a slient auction at the meetings. I have since been adding slabs and other materials that are donated to the club and we bring in about $200 per meeting. They are really salivating over getting the chance at this material. We have been moving a rock collection that was given to us from a deceased member's stash. So far we have moved 8 large flatbed trailers of rocks with two or three more to move. He had bought out a rock shop that had closed down in the mid 60's and it was hauled in dump trucks and dumped on his property. It sat there ever since slowly sinking into the ground. Usually we have a large rock sale at our annual show but last year we didn't have enough rocks fo the sale. This year we WILL have a lot of rocks! We are working diligently trying to get the rocks washed and sorted for the show coming up on March 9 and 10 in Turlock, Ca. Bob

Wow, that Sagenite Tiffany is awesome! That's the first I've seen of it. When did you say that auction is? You're tempting me to make a cross-country trip!
