Hey Jeri,
The prices at Johnson Bros. are good, but I didn't have the best service there (literally sounded like an Indian dude on his cell phone at the grocery store). Also very slow to ship, as I recall.
Cherda: are you using the Gorilla blades?

I think the guy at Johnson Brothers is just old and low-tech. More cut out for the paper catalog days.
I had a Gorilla blade 6" on my old Rock Rascal. It was OK, but thin, and I had to watch I did not bend it.

Interesting. The guy I spoke to was definitely from India.
The Pro-Slicer that I got from them was also very thin. Might be useful for opal if I ever get some, but way too thin for agate.

Actually, I was thinking about the older guy who runs Minnesota Lapidary Supply. I don't know about Johnson Bros 1st hand.

I have a Proslicer 6" on my smallest trim saw. It is thin and I'm glad its not my only trim saw blade. It cuts really well (fast), but the blade is thin enough I can almost use it like a jig saw by twisting the piece as I go. I'd be afraid I would wreck the blade if it was my only blade. I use a stiffer 7" blade (make unknown) when I just need to go through a bigger piece or a standard straight line cut. In short the Proslicer is a great cutting blade but may be a bit delicate except for special uses. I hope this helps. Tom

A family from India bought Johnson Bros a year or 3 ago. They do shows a lot so when you call you probably really are talking to a guy from India on a cell phone. Never had a problem with them but we have always bought at shows.
