Congrats! Nice slabs! Any chance for a closeup of the slab in the lower right of pic 9 (also shows up behind other slab in pics 7 and 8)?
I bet you particularly like the scenic jaspers. The African preform looks like a tie I have...

Yes, that's a nice assortment (I see a Biggs, a couple of Deschutes, Guadalupe poppy, rhodochrosite, hickoryite/wonderstone, nice AZ wood, Parrotwing, Crazy Lace, mahogany obsidian, Wild Horse, Rocky Butte, turitella, MT agate, and a few that are nice but not ringing a bell. The Koi is very nice (is it already cut and polished?).

There may have only been 1/4 keepers, but they're GOOD keepers! That poppy is awesome, and so is the African rainbow. In the 6th from last pic (with the poppy and african rainbow), do you know what the slab on the right is? I love the patterns in there!

@rocks2dust: the African jasper is sanded to at least 280. I think I will be re-cutting into two stones. chuck, here is closer shot on that small lace. It will only make 1 cab; it is small. There were a couple of other small pieces of lace. If you felt motivated to work this piece, I would be glad to send it to you

Great selection of slabs Daniel. Really nice Guadalupe Poppy and rhodocrocite! I've seen examples of Tabu Tabu jasper that have the colors of that last one. Also seen it called Forest Fire jasper. Is that candy cane banded one Gobi Stone dolomite? I've seen it somewhere before but can't recollect for sure what it was called.. Is some of that wild colored mozarkite too?.....Mel

Mel from Yuma & Spokane: yes the candy cane is a dolomite. I have had some before. It is softer. The Mozorkite pieces are really colorful. A lot is grayish or fuzzy pinkish. I really like the way it shifts red to blue along the bottom. chuck: here is a virtual for you:

Wow! Awesome score. Chuck is right about the African jasper preform. It's a ripoff of a Jerry Garcia design.

@blackout: I think that is a really nice slice of Mozorkite. Another guy there got a flat with what looked like the mother nodule.

OK, I think I only got your address over the phone, and lost it after I left Minneapolis. You will need to PM me the postal address.
Pics of what you cut (no rush) go without saying.

Daniel, You did fine. I already have a name for your virtual cab. Its Mephisto standing in the middle of Dante's Inferno. And its cool (surprisingly). Have fun. Tom
