Hello Sir/Mam, I was searching the internet for some grease for the new saw and stumbled across this product. Yes, there are at least two grease fittings on the new saw, that I know of. I want to use a grease that's a little better than my "Dad's" wheel bearing grease (Always seems to be about 30 year old grease when I look at what my Dad keeps around This grease was found on an aircraft builders website. I figured if it's good enough for airplanes? Anyway, I purchased some and will see how it performs. Just an FYI in case anyone was looking. Looks more like a corrosion blocker than a lubricant. If your new saw has grease fittings you need a grease gun rather than a spray can. Lithium wheel bearing grease is ideal for arbor bearings.

Yup, it'll be great for blocking rust, but the wrong stuff for bearings. And hardware or car parts place will have inexpensive grease guns and tubes of Lithium grease.

Why pay that much for a whole case of grease, when you can buy a single tube of lithium grease at your local hardware store for a couple bucks ? I think if Paul reads the instructions that came with his new saw, he'll find that they recommend using lithium wheel bearing grease. A single tube if not overused will last for at least 2 years. And lithium grease will work just as good at preventing internal bearing corrosion as that overpriced Mil Spec stuff does.

I wonder if that is what bothunter really ordered? I'm sure it would do the job, though the grease would be more designed for marine saltwater applications and is extremely expensive.
