I am working on repairing and cleaning up a Lortone ST-10. One item I am unsure how to handle is replacing the switch for the "automatic shut-off". The original switch was replaced at some point with one that will not work with the chain/auto feed.
Does anyone know of a good replacement for the original that will allow for the same type of shut off?
Thank you!

Roger, that is often online/ebay for about $12 bucks. Also, it is the same part for the LS12, which can still be ordered from Lortone.
I have an extra one somewhere, but not a good plan to wait for me to find it in my garage.

Depends on if it is the old switch or the new one. Lortone changed designs and the old switch is no longer being made. If it is the new one you can still get one from Lortone for about 5 or 6 bucks, but I think they are out of the old ones.

the chain just has to pull the switch. As long as thereis a "throw" to the switch (as opposed to push button), you should be able rig/glue something onto the toggle that can be mated to the end of the chain.
I never thought a lot about it, but that is what has been done to my LS10. I will post a pic tonight.
