Picked this up at the show last weekend. The Rock's family brought it and said it was called a Junior Bullwheel. It has an 8x3 expanding wheel, 10" flatting disc and 8" leather polishing dome. This thing is sweet and it runs just like the 12" bullwheel. Anyone out there ever seen this one? Attachments:

Nice find! A solid grinding/polishing setup is next on my list..I keep thinking the lapidary elves will leave one in my garage but I guess they don't know where I live lol
With a setup like that, how do you keep everything wet/cool? Spray bottles, or is it partially disassembled?

Never seen one. I like the 8" drum. Much easier to find belts. I'm planning on setting up a two wheel HP arbor in a similar way with a Lortone hood/pan for the drum.

I just use a spray bottle on my bullwheel, but the thing sands so fast you usually only have to make a few passes for each grit.

As soon as I figure out my wheel wobble, I can claim to have built one.

That's the same one that JR bought.

thanks- I did not look close enough. I went searching ebay after seeing how well built it looked in his photo. are these mostly used for polishing slabs?
The homemade one looks great too. hopefully the wobble is not from the shaft.

Yes they were designed for doing flats. They are great for geode halves, but you can also cab/dome on it too.
