Just received a dream parcel from Warren Bobyk. The blue one looks as good as they come, as of right now I'm truly afraid to cut into that one. Will have to clean up the matrix on the striped one before seeing what comes to mind. But I certainly will try to keep that feature sandwiched in the fold. I'm not sure if the other 3 pieces are Disdero's too? That material, is prime yet again (despite being huge, I can't see a single fracture. This clean material should work great for any carving . Its at places nearly an inch thick. Again thank you so much Warren. Will likely get started early next month with the discussed projects, as I still have two pieces in the works. First up is going to be this little project with the leftover coral Thanks for looking, have a great and save weekend, Kurt

Nice material and that feather project looks very cool! Like what you're doing with the texture and color in the feathers!!!

Cathy, the texture will change as we go deeper into the stone, but I hope that it will work out. Have been very lucky with texture on this slab thus far.
Have just been informed that the 3 huge pieces are Disderos too.

Yep. I know. All of them are fracture free, and the 3 big ones show something like turtle-back too.
