We went to the show as usual this year to set up our display case. It was fun being at a show and not having to work like we did at our own show. I got some time to shop for whatever. Even though I really don't need anymore slabs I just couldn't resist. There is an older lady that doesn't go to very many shows to sell - maybe two a year - that almost always has great material at very reasonable prices. She doesn't bring much inventory of rough or slabs but she has some killer small lamps with lapidary material in the shades. She had two with rhodochrosite and one with Charoite. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos. She was asking $300 for each one and quickly sold those three. I got a few slabs though. Peruvian Chrysocolla 6" wide - probably stabilized - $15 Willow Creek 6" tall - $4 Pretty Jasper 6" tall - $4 Five slabs of Ocean Jasper 6" tall - $15 each Miscellaneous small slabs mostly $2 each, one for $3 And perhaps my favorite one - Petrified wood with Dendrites/Plumes - 6" wide - $4 Bob

Great looking slabs Bob - the last one is also my favorite and will make some killer pieces or even a specimen if you keep it whole.
BTW, I was also at the show (on Sunday) and had a rock question - I don't even remember what - and in talking to one of the dealers he said "Bob's here somewhere - go find him, he'll know..." Your knowledge and talent is legendary :-)

Wow excellent slabs! Really like the red jasper and the Saddle Mountain Picture Wood. Seems like a great price for the ocean jasper too......Mel

Lovely haul.
I particularly like the two tubes (in the small slab picture) and the second from left in the middle-row of the same picture.
