I just cut a rock that I picked up last summer in a mine dump in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan's U.P. I didn't expect it to have any copper in it, but it has tiny flecks of copper all through it and some larger chunks of copper too. I couldn't get the little flecks to show up in the picture, but you can see them in the green layer in the bottom of the picture. There's a larger chunk in the pink area. Oops, I forgot the picture. Here it is:

I like flecks of metal in a rock. They make good shiny spots when polished.

thats very cool. might make a decent cab but I think I would be leaving the slab as a specimen as is.
