Howdy Allen,
Contact:
Gary Hardy 15887 Flint Ridge Rd. Newark, Ohio 43056
740-787-1578
Gary sells beautiful Flint Ridge Flint from his farm. I've ordered from him several times . Both tumbling and cabbing material. Just tell him what sizes, and even colors, and he picks it out for you. Not super expensive either and uses flat rate shipping. I think he was $1-2 per pound last time I got some from him and he sent me some real fine colors and patterns. Really nice fellow too......Mel

Hey Mel how hard is it to saw? I have some agates that my trim saw just cannot saw. Is flint like that? I know how to look up mohs but thats not really realavant cause some agates r easier than others so maybe flint is too. That price sounds very reasonable and the pics of it are awesome on here! Thanks, Bill

Bill, Phil is dead on. Flint Ridge material is a really hard , tough flint. Maybe if you heat treat it it saws easier but I've had my saw stopped cold by it several times. You need clean oil and a really fresh sharp blade running real straight....Mel
