Using a week of Time Share in Sedona and looking for some good rockhounding and tourist sites to visit. I figure morning collecting is a good idea. Thanks in advance for the help. The board always gives great advice. - Bill G

Is the Arizona Gem Trails book worth picking up for this trip?

Go to the meteor crater.
The grand canyon is cool. Maybe the volcano.
I think the rock hunting in that area sucks except for the wood if you are willing to go after it.

I second the recommendation of the Bearce book, but the Gem Trails book is pretty good too.
