So heres the deal..... While I was laid up all winter and spring with my foot operation rocks and rock related paraphanalia piled up in the living room, real high around my easy chair and filled up the kitchen and dining tables. My girlfriend has put down the law that she will no longer eat a meal sitting on the couch balancing her plate on her knee. She expects me to have at least the kitchen table cleared by this weekend when she comes to visit for the wknd. My rock shop in what used to be my horse barn office is full of "rock stuff n rose quartz"! Plus its massively disorganized with " really good stuff other people threw away" therefore I am organizing the shop so it can hold whats in the house. Someone on here had a thread showing all their rocks in boxes neatly labeled n stacked on shelves. I am attemting that.....really I am! LOL So I have sorted all my rose quartz from the Hogg Mine and shelved some of several types. You know, rose, white, smoky, striated, possible moonstone, facet grade etc. Now I want to get rid of the rest by trading it for other rocks. will take slabs, rough or whatever you got. I prefer no agates cause they r too hard to saw with my 6 inch saw, same with pet wood n some jaspers unless you can trade slabs. All offers considered. Oh yes Hogg mine quartz stars. There is a thread on here that Jamesp posted tumble quartz from the Hogg. Thanks, Bill

there should have been an add attachment button just below the right end of the bright blue "Create Post" header bar. Same line as "Subject" (seen on left). If you do not have this button, your tablet/OS/browser ... etc is not compatible with ProBoards. (or you need to update something.)
BUT, attachment space is full now anyway. Nobody can attach images button showing or not. Since the space is small and fills up quickly and since extra space costs money and since Mark does not log in ever day, you can expect attachments to be something very hit-or-miss on RTH.
The time to learn to use a 3rd party image host (like PhotoBucket) is now.

Daniel you are so wise but unfortunately my desire to do the photobucket or whatever is zero. I know I am limiting myself. I also dont get a attachment button. I think the mobile part of the new forum is limited cause my tablet works great on any other forum on the net. I have high hopes they will fix it here.

I've been using photobucket for probably 12 years, never any problems posting pics and it's also a good backup for my picture files. It sucks loosing pics.

Hey Randy I guess sooner or later I will have to learn but I really dont take pics and.my little tablet is an old 3g Verizon and it is strained enough as it is with the poor signal and no wifi. Its like the old dialup, very slow, I drink a lot.of coffee while it slowly loads a thread from the forum !!! LOL But it works!

no attachments are working for anybody on any device. your tablet happens to lack the button, but those who have the button cannot add attachments right now anyway.
the attachment space way overfull. It looks like the old board let groups exceed their limits a bit.
until the admin/Mark goes in and picks out a bunch of current attachments to delete (maybe old ones, or overly large ones ...), or until additional space was PURCHASED, there will be no attachments.

Ok Daniel I thought I could do it with Macdonalds free wifi. Hey by the way there is a "desktop" button at the bottom that takes me to a screen with attachments like b4 the change! Also I am using the free mobile, apparently the paid mobile must have the stuff I am missing on my tablet, thats ok I am happy with the free mobile app now that I know how to get the free desktop that has everything. How do I get rid of all that blue on blue, I cant see what is what. Thanks again Daniel, Bill

Ok I boxed up the rose quartz, its a medium flate rate box full, I mean stuffed with no packing material. It has some facet grade pieces that can be cut out of chunks, it has striated white, it has striated rose, it has solid white moonstone, some tumble to fill the niches, some rough that needs sawing or picking apart. Largest pieces are fist to softball size. Its heavy! LOL I can email pics. U can look at my thread on "tumbling recipe help" and see what it looks like after Jamesp tumbled a batch. I would add a link but do not know how.....anybody want to post the link for me? Thanks if so. Anyway I would trade for a small flat rate box of slabs of colorful material, would really like some picasso marble or amethyst sage or some type of amethyst like sage etc. My wonderful girlfriend is really n2 purple! Thanks for looking folks.

There is a button when posting or replying (see pic below). I don't know about free plan and paid plan, I thought that was connection speed. Maybe it is more (like features). It looks to me like the browser on you tablet has a problem with JavaScript - and maybe there is an updated browser, or a different browser app you could use. Last I looked, even the attachments uploaded before the space filled up were not displaying because the system was all upset about being over limits, so it said "ain't gonna do new uploads" AND "ain't gonna display old ones"  |

I am sure I will. I have been trying to get down to the Hogg mine for a few years but never have made it.
I have a rock friend in northern Georgia that I use to cut rocks for before he finally got himself a saw. He use to send me rocks, I would slab them, and then send him half the slabs back. It was good for him and good for me. I alwayse thought I would go down for a visit someday and then on to the Hogg mine, but it just did not materialize.
Now I will be getting some Hogg mine stuff without making the trip. lol

Hope you should go to The Crabtree Emerald mine its just as much fu.. You can find lots of extremely hard stable quartz matrix with little garnets, emeralds, black tourmaline and golden beryl. Its fun to slab and has a awesome shine. Just walk the mine dumps and pick it up, only $20 for the day. I got half a 5 gallon bucket in two hours! Its closer to you too by a lot!

Wow got my box of rocks from Hope!!!!! He sent a bunch of beautiful rocks all to fit my lil 6 in saw! Bright energetic rocks! Plus lots of very nice super cool slabs and a bunch of slabbed picasso marble. Plus lots of purple stuff to make the main squeeze, Susan ( the luv of my life), cabochon pendants and earrings!!!! Thanks a bunch Hope, u the greatest! Well maybe one small problem........he sent a bunch of Ohio Flint Ridge slabs and Susan went crazy over the wild colors and patterns!!!! Now she wants to go to Ohio rockhounding!!!!! Love that kinda problem folks!!! I tell u I got me a real fine woman!!!! She loves surface prospecting! She got a good eye too!
