I went ahead and voted for North Cadys. If I'm going to go, I want some of the cool stuff. Four-wheel drive, high clearance, not a problem. I'll just need to make sure I get good directions, possibly some GPS coordinates. Will anbody be bringing a trailer? I'm wondering if there is a spot to camp that is easily accessible, then carpooling in to the collecting area(s).

I am new to the site and new to 'rockhounding'and would really like an opportunity to go on a field trip to learn by doing. I can't get what I need out of books and I don't want to go to these areas alone. I have a Blazer 4x4 with premium AT tires, and the vehicle is sound, so driving most off-road places would not be a problem.
Would I be able to go on this trip?

urbanwild you are a member here. I didn't exactly expect someone to join just for the trip. Unless other's object, join us. Please make a post in the new members section and share more about yourself. Tommy Poll closes in three days!
