Sounds to me like you weren't wearing a mask while cutting/grinding and breathed the dust into you nose and/or mouth... no? Gotta wear them things ALWAYS, man. C-ya, Rick

I do not produce dust. It's an oil saw.
Problem solved. Medicine related.

I do not produce dust. It's an oil saw. Problem solved. Medicine related. Glad to hear you got hat solved. Medications can cause so many side effects that they are often the cause when problems suddenly appear and should always be checked. Problem is that the doctors often don't want to admit that the medications are causing the side effects. For example, a friend of mine had been put on Ambien and started hallucinating. A well known side effect of the drug. The doctor tried to claim it was not the drug but switched him to Lunesta, also known for causing hallucinations. The doctor still refused to admit the drugs were causing the hallucinations and decided instead that he had developed Alzheimer's overnight. First of all you cannot diagnose Alzheimer's without an autopsy and secondly you do not develop Alzheimer's overnight. Once he was off the drugs he was fine. If you ever want to check the side effects of drugs the best reference site I have found for this is rxlist.com, which is like an online Physician's Desk Reference (PDR).

Most sleep aids have had a long reputation for doing that. We had a patient in the hospital given Halcion for sleep. When I checked on him he said there was someone standing outside his window. Problem was that he was on the third floor and no balcony. Then he went on to there was something flying back and forth across the ceiling. When I asked his what it was he said "I don't know, it's either a bowl of Jello or peaches".
And he was not the only patient I saw hallucinating on Halcion.

The Pharmacist was very emphatic about this possibility. She told a story of a woman have a sex hallucination while on an airplane. She removed her clothes and played... well, you get the idea. The stews couldn't wake her or stop her, so they tossed a blanket over her.
That is, as the story was told.
I was seeing battleships on the street behind my house... crazee. I never did mind bending stuff when young. This was an entire new experience for me. I flushed the balance of the prescription.

Thanks Mel.
I need to make some cuts this weekend. I have a mask I use when I coat guns. I'll use it when I cut rocks now too.

Unless you wait until the saw really stops and all mist is gone you will be breathing some oil mist.

I have sucked in mist - yukky! much coughing...
The guy I bought my saw from also gave me a shop vac. He attached a piece of pipe to the lid so I can vacuum out the mist. I need to get it set up!
Thanks JOhn!

Oughtta wear a mask anyways. Oil mist is actually worse than dry dust because each micro-drop of mist contains dust at its center and this stuff gets into your lungs and is next to impossible to cough out. just tryin' to help... C-ya, Rick
