A wife said to her husband, "Would you go shopping for me and pick up a carton of milk? If they have avocados get six".
A short time later the husband comes home with six cartons of milk.
The wife asks him, "Why did you buy six cartons of milk?"
He replied, "They had avocados".
If you are female, you are going to go back and read it again. If you are male, you got it the first time.

Don't go there, Chuckie. Men and women just think differently, that's all.

Just for fun, I read the question to my husband and asked what he would come home with. Answer: a carton of milk and six avocados.

I'm a very literal person. And I speak using 'words' not by telepathy like my wife. Or should I say 'attempted' telepathy because my receptors don't work a good part of the time. Listen?? Listen to what!

Does your wife say, "You never listen to anything I say?"

Who can afford avocados if you live in the northern plains ? Got lots of cows, no avocado trees.

The wife tried to grow Avacados. No dice so far. Okay, eat your hearts out! In SoCal, they grow themselves Guacamole tree! These were last years, right now they are currently about the size the stores sell. I think the tree is a bacon, but not absolutely sure. Now that's a handful! You won't find ones like these in the store Ripening in a bag. You can start picking them by late November/early December, always have an abundance by Superbowl! Jean

Now I'm jealous. Elizabeth lived in SoCal for a few years as a child, I was born there but parents relocated to the NW while I was quite young. We may move south in a few years but not Cali.

I considered adding guacamole tree to my orchard, but they get too damned BIG..
FWIW The Haas avo was developed for agriculture by a local guy. His trees were/(are?) in Whittier, CA.
