Howdy folks,
Heard through the grapevine that Wal Mart here in town had ammo in. Went by though I figured they'd either be sold out or gouging like every other place around. Natchez wasn't too bad at $5-7 per box over normal prices but Cheaper than dirt is 5X normal prices as are most the gun stores in town. Well Wally World had sold out some ammo but had one of my calibers and guess what, the clerk told me they have refused to price gouge and charged me exactly what I used to pay months and months ago which was $20-30 bucks less per hundred round box than the rest the stores. Now that is a way to create loyal customers and an ethical way to do business. Big ole kudos to Wal Mart! They freaking rule!......Mel

I like Wally World too and I'm glad you found a good deal. I'm reminded of a recent personal incident. I lucked out at WalMart and got six boxes of 9 mm. ammo I’d been looking for. On the drive home I had to stop for gas.
An incredibly sexy young woman was filling up at the pump ahead of me and though I’m well past my prime in the sex-appeal department I couldn’t help but steal a furtive glance now and then as I filled my tank. I was a little surprised when I noticed she’d started to stare back in my direction but quickly realized her gaze was fixed on the ammo boxes on the front seat of my car. She finished pumping gas and walked toward me very suggestively, all her curvy parts doing what they were designed to do.
“Hi,” she said, “I couldn’t help but notice you’ve got some ammo in your car. I’m really interested in shooting and ammo’s very hard to come by these days. I think bartering is a really great way to do business. Is there any chance you’d be willing to barter sex for ammo?”
I thought for a minute, then said: “Yeah, I might be. What kind of ammo you got?”
(Yeah, I "borrowed" the story but your lead-in was too good to pass up. Happy shooting!)

I have a source, know when the shipments come in, and they have an entire wall of AR's. Notice I didn't include the name and number lmao.

You know, it's been five years since I lived there, but now that I think of it, I don't remember the Wally Worlds in southern Commiefornia having guns either. Gull danged west coast states are weirder than all get out. Like they're in some other dang Commie country or something.....Mel

SoCal gun-sellers have really been spooked by all the anti-gun activism. WalMarts here sell both guns and ammo but on a city-by-city basis apparently, depending on local regulations and how the individual store managers feel it will affect their overall business. I seldom get to WalMart locally: the closest store is so busy all you do is stand in line and parking is a nightmare. There's another about 20 miles away and I can usually find what I need at about the same price much closer.

Yeah, Kalifornian Walmarts in urban areas = no guns, more country areas only hunting stuff. Have yet to see an AR at Walmart.
As a side-note; Bass Pro opened in suburban Rancho Cucamonga a few years ago (pre-Obama). I am told by a friend that worked there, that in the first month they sold more guns in that one store than the rest of California combined. Kalifornia then put a hold on their firearms license, because the volume was "too big, there had to be something illegal going on". Corporate attorneys had to show records proving that, while the numbers were large, they were not unusual.
Keep in mind our illustrious state bureaucrats are using records of legal sales to conclude "something illegal must be going on". Jack@ss Kalifornia is a very special place indeed.
