Cool pics from Feb, but I have to ask - why are you wearing a welding helmet whilst going down the river???

I have severed arteries/veins from the sharp coral pieces flying . I need to break it to get the best parts of a giant chunk sometimes. It is for protection when way back in the woods.
A fair question Jean. I would take it off if kayakers ever went by.So as not to freak them out-like freddie on the river hahahoho

Ah, yeah, severed arteries (much worse than veins!) don't sound like much fun. Must prevent that. Eye protection, too. You actually beat up/break up coral up while you are traveling down the river? (I can see why you'd take it off if kayakers are present, LOL)

Gotta remember that ancient man and modern man used/uses coral to make arrowheads, knives and such. Protect..Protect...Protect...
My opinion is that he uses the welding helmet to keep others away from his coral gold mine. Big dude wearing a welding helmet in the middle of nowhere on the river = turn right around and dont look back.

Like Freddie on the river. The few that i see down there are often more frightening w/out their helmut..... A lot of the pretty stuff is big and but trashy on the inside so i remove a lot of the outer layer. Often taking 1/4 . Most big ones are already broken. I am not sure what i severe but i have had them squirt pulse blood for a quick bit. It usually shuts me down. I think that early man had to really protect himself. Leather would be perfect Jean...
