The show was really a lot of fun and was well planned and executed. Because I already have a lot of stuff I haven't been buying much lately. Now it is only unusual or exceptional things that get my buying attention. I found this slab of Clear Creek Jadeite that has a strong contrast between the green and white areas. This is the first time that I have ever seen Snowflake Obsidian in a Mahogany background. The dealer said he only found one fist-sized chunk and this was the remaining slab. I jumped on it for $1!!! 1st side. 2nd side. When we were strolling downtown Placerville I came across a small rock shop that had moved there about a year ago. They didn't have a lot of rough rocks or slabs but I did find this slab of Fantasy Jasper. 1st side. 2nd side. We also had our display case set up there as usual. We change to stuff around at each show. There weren't many of my large cabs in it this time. Bob

Really special aquisitions.
I bet your display was the cream of the crop in that show.
