Oh jamesp , here's a rock show not even 35 miles away from you. And you said you didn't have any shows or sales nearby. Still almost a month away.

I am headed to the PO office Jean. Goodies await you. I did not send the garden chunk-later though.
Got a burnt heat element in the industrial rock cooker. It is cheaper to buy the other junk oven and steal the element than buy a new one.
So i am loading up p/u and headed to get the oven and welding rods, mail 5 boxes of rocks and get groceries since wife left me for 2 weeks(yeeaaaaa).

It's a nice show, the best I've found near Atl. I hope to go this year.

Had about 3 hrs at the show...got some slabs (maybe 5 vendors of 36 had cab mats)...lots of finished jewelry, beads, wrapping, etc. Bought 2 small pieces of sugilite at $2 gram (ouch!)..but should make nice cabs. Got some more dino bone in different colors and a small slab of apache gold, as I heard of it, but don't see it much, so thought why not!

I got to go but didn't buy too much this year. The prices for rough & slabs was quite high. I did get a one-cab, thin slab of Larimar, at $1.00/gram, and I over paid for a few more. It's still a lot of fun to go & see everything. Mostly finished jewlery and some nice specimens.
