I apologize if I broke any board conventions. I don't know about rocks so would have little to say. I just was trying for a little free enterprise. These are very limited market machines and very few people even know what they are. Years ago when I was looking for a way to polish glass I stumbled upon these and was glad I did. I wish I could have found them at this price.
Someone said they are rough. I don't see it that way. They aren't pretty, but they work as intended. Eventually the plates need to be replaced because they are a consumable. There is little that can go wrong with these. I have changed out bearings and motors as needed and they were producing mirror finish glass last I used them. I don't know how critical rock polishing is but glass is very demanding. These produced polished pieces that landed me in over 200 art galleries coast to coast. So again please forgive me if I have offended. Meanwhile I tried to add pics but couldn't get them to load. There is a link to my craigslist add which has the pics. I hope that is helpful.
For sale are 3 Vibrolap machines currently being made by Diamond Pacific. Actually two are Highlands on one is a Diamond Pacific. While not new they are not priced as new which is 2300 dollars per machine. What is great about these machines is they work great. They are very heavy duty and get the job done.
Two are set up for grinding and one for polishing.
If you have ground and polished rocks or glass you know it is a time consuming process. The very cool thing about these is that you can have them work and mostly do so unattended. I used them every day for large pieces of kiln formed glass. The glass would start out with kiln wash baked into it and at the end would by a beautiful mirror finish.
I had to learn by trial and error how to get these to work flawlessly and I would be happy to share my secrets and make sure you get these up and running. There are some important things that you need to know. If you already do..great come and get them. If not I will explain what you need, how to do it and answer your questions until you are satisfied that they are working as you wish.
I am not doing glass any more but these are ready to work.
If you are unsure of how these might work for your application call me and we will can talk.
You can grind and polish stones glass or most any solid.
