Well, the weekend of the big North Cady's trip we went to SoCal to see the wife's family. I had some thoughts about dropping her off and heading north, but the logistics didn't work out. My loss. We did make one stop in Utah on the way down, though, and found a few rocks. Scenery. Took a few pictures of the Utah haul after we got home. I'm afraid that most of them will be kind of plain and uninteresting, but it was the same old story-had a couple of hours to stop and look, I was almost ready to holler over to the wife that we need to get going, walked another 50 feet and started running into some jaspers and some agatey stuff. By the jeebus, we got us some rocks anyway. They haven't been washed or anything-when I was unloading the pickup Wed. morning it was 28 F and I just didn't feel like hooking up the hose and all. With any luck I'll run a saw blade through a few of them next week. The plan was to leave down there Monday morning, head north and spend the day at Lavic, maybe get up into the south Cady's again a little bit, head home on Tuesday and get back Wednesday afternoon. Checking the weather showed a storm was supposed to be hitting up here on Wednesday. So, we headed home Monday morning and got home Tuesday afternoon. By Wednesday afternoon it was snowing and the breeze out of the north was gusting to 40 mph.

Thanks, but it wasn't that great. I did get a few slabs cut from some of the material we picked up, I'll post them up in the slabs and saws section.
