Initially I was using 50k diamond on a leather disk and wasn't getting good results. I switched to the suede and the omg2 and haven't looked back. Every step obviously matters though, if you leave scratches from 600 the best polish can't save you. I can't find the suede disks on his site, but here is the link to the polish: www.jsgemslapidary.com/ALUMINUM-OXIDE-SUPER-POLISH-ONE-POUND/If you call him I'm sure you can get the suede disks, I can't recall for certain but I think it was around $10

John, I'm always looking for ways to improve polish. I appreciate your helpful information but have a question about exactly what you mean by "suede." Is the texture different than this disk? I can't recall ever seeing a polishing disk advertised as suede but maybe I've just missed them. Close-up Thanks in advance, Rick
