Hobby Motors - used sphere machines, grain mills and other DIY applications where a slow speed is important. These motors are reversible, wiring instructions included. Capacitor start design includes pre-wired 10uF capacitor. 3/8" shaft. Rotational speed has been reported at 140, 160, 175 by three sources at my wholesaler. Ready now for prompt shipping. 150 RPM will be too fast for a sphere machine. You need 90 - around 115 RPM's.

150 RPM will be too fast for a sphere machine. You need 90 - around 115 RPM's. Depends on your preform. my friend who builds machines uses a faster motor with his and they work fine. Highland parks high speed grinder is a lot faster... If I wanted to make lots of spheres I would have a 100 rpm machine dedicated to coarse grinding, then move to faster machines for the rest of the process. @shotgunner from the looks of those gearmotors I suggest you use couplers and support the grinding heads with bearings that are a little more heavy duty.
