Side Note: Everett, WA. and my home in Superior, WI are forgotten sister cities. The Alexander McDougall ship building company started here and made the innovative "whaleback" design of ship. Alex then built a ship building company in Everett to make the same style ship there. Only one was made - "The City of Everett." Some folks called these boats "Pigboats" And there ends my unsolicited history lesson for the day. Just wish it was closer so I could attend the sale. Drat! This is a poor photo of an original painting by artist Charles Moorhouse of the S.S. Meteor on Lake Superior.

I knew Submarines were called "Pig boats" but had no idea that term applied to surface ships
