I have 11 enamel-type Western-style belt buckle mountings left over from when I used to do a lot of shows. All are in brand-new condition and are set up for 30 x 40 oval cabs. These normally sell from 8.95 to 13.95 each. I want to sell them as a lot, so if you have a market for items similar to these PM me for pictures and discounted prices. I'll also trade for equal value cabbing slabs of quality material. If you want to trade let me know what you're offering. I have 7 different styles/colors of the following types:

Question for gemfeller: Is there a common thickness of slabs to make the buckles out of? Any light you could shed on this would be helpful. I have a few to do and would not want to goof up on step #1.

It's been a while since I did that and I honestly don't recall the details. Most of the mountings come with cardboard inserts that fit underneath the cabs to take up any slack and cushion the stones. With that in mind I'd suggest you don't make the cabs extra thick. But I can't give you any measurements.

The girdle thickness is the main thing it cant be real thick or the bezel will not fit over it it needs to be thinner and a little more taper to fit good. I cut most of my slabs 3/16" and they work good.
