Welcome to the forum RocksofMexico...hope I got that right Any friend of Randy's is a friend of mine . I mean come on, look at that pic of Randy's, he's gotta be a really nice guy...that pooch sure looks content. The dogs speak truth! lol Besides, it is always better to lighten up and expect the best from folks until they prove you wrong. Fact: Most folks will never get what they want in life(an facet), but everyone will get what they expect! Just my random two cents, Ash (North Louisiana Native, South Louisiana Resident...two VERY different places)

Didnt mean to start a argument. Between everyone. I did read some of the rules. I read to introduce yourself which I did. May of glanced through the 50 posts, but didnt sink in (i got glass chunks for brains). Im not commercial anyways. I stumbled upon this site because i found 1920s buried uranium glass. Looking into the cutting equipment i found it is expensive, so i was looking for rough to resell. Dont know too much about lapidary, minerals but wanted to venture into new territories. I got my grandkids digging into the ground with me and the metal detector, I ran over a chunk of granite quarts mix(i think) and it sent the metal detector off. When i busted that puppy open a silver nugget popped out. Thats how i found vg glass also, their was lead and steel mixed around it. So i looked into it further and found out the rock came from Maine used for the river bend from receding and the lead and iron were used for making bottles which were discarded in the same spot. But anyways noticing different rocks and colors started to bug me b/c i wanted to know. So i figured out the best way to learn them is buy, resale, and to visually see them and read read read.

As usual, I am always late to the party... my wife's fault!!, anyways.... Welcome to the forum, enjoy the madness, throwing rocks at each other is allowed as long as you aim at their bucket and not their head, don't want to break the rocks!!
Get out there, in here, jump in and post pics of your favorite rocks, ask questions, read posts, lurk when you want and try to share when you can. Above all, ASK QUESTIONS !!!!!! We love to share knowledge, especially if you got grand-kids w/questions!!!! We are happy to share knowledge whenever possible and pictures too!! it's nice to know about a rock/mineral/crystal, but, link it to a picture where you can see the colors and then you have an information explosion!! and you will want more of the same to happen again & again!!! And we would love to oblige you. Mario

Hey- welcome to both of you. This isn't the first time something like this has happened, so don't take it too personal. Folks are just real protective round here. (And generally friendly, too.)
