Describe "big hunk." I'll keep my eyes open.
Going to one of the San Diego club's BBQ and Silent Auction in Balboa Park tomorrow. Where I got that 20" Rociprolap from last year. I just know I'm going to come home with more rocks than I need (oh, but the price is so right!), might as well pick up some goodies for others.

I have small hunks in matrix that I've found. Nothing that could be considered big at all.

The question still stand…What is a big hunk of copper. I have several fist sized pieces of copper mixed in the matrix. Otherwise in mid august they have collecting trips in the old mine dumps and you can get your own.

I love the look of copper in matrix! If you have small, 1-2" pieces that are too small for Shotgunner, I might be interested in a SFR boxful!

Not quite as big as you are looking for. I will be in Copper Country this August and will have my truck with this time. I intend to overload it for the 200 mile trip back. Should be able to fill the 4" minimum then. Here is a pic of what is typical of what I brought back last time. Might even consider selling this bunch. There is a few pieces of visible copper on them, most is hidden within. Use a metal detector/pin pointer to see it.

Is there anybody in Michigan who can supply me a big hunk of native copper? Hi, I can supply you a big hunk of native copper. I believe it is 275 lbs approximate weight but I can double check with my husband if you are in fact interested. I can send pictures if you drop me an email at smiley1slp@hotmail.com Obviously, you'd have to live in the U.P. as this would be too expensive to ship. If your looking for something smaller let me know the approximate weight.. Thanks !!

If you haven't already get the free Photobucket and your pics will go on here just fine. If you need help we will walk you through it. Besides, I want to see your float copper!

Hi David,
I was trying to post from my computer. I signed up for Photo Bucket and uploaded the pictures there, but I am not sure how I am supposed to get them here. Do I download them to my computer from there ? Many thanks ! Kristen

Do I download them to my computer from there ? Many thanks ! Kristen Step 1. Copy the direct code from your Photobucket pic. Step 2. Hit the "REPLY" Button. Or during Creating a post I believe it shows up the same. Step 3. Paste your Photobucket code in after clicking on the photo icon. And poof, it should show up. A little box should have showed up and this is where the code gets pasted to.

O.k. I think I finally got this picture business down, so much thanks for the help David !! Here are a couple pictures of the float copper.....Anyone think it could possibly be a Native American village head ? It was not around any other float pieces in the area that was dug. I hear they used to leave these behind when they abandoned their villages, but I've never actually seen what one looks like. Not sure how many of these are out in collections but every one I see I appreciate. Biggest I have ever found probably is less than a pound. Are you looking to sell this? What is its weight?
