Hey gang, just a heads up on a CL post for rough material sale in Edmonds WA this weekend. seattle.craigslist.org/sno/art/4500744670.htmlLooks like they want to sell in 40# lots. I'm kind of shy when it comes to sales like this but I might have a go at Friday afternoon. Matt Sent from my SPH-D710 using proboards

I'm a milk crate junkie but it started from DJing and collecting Vinyl. Since then, the dairy companies caught on to millions of milk crates being use for home and music store record collection they changed the shape of them so you can no longer fit a 12" in them. I save the new crates for rocks now I have since changed my storage from milk crates to the "discontinued" Ikea Expedit shelving. It was a DJ's nightmare when Ikea announced last year they were discontinuing the Expedit line. Luckily for us vinyl junkies they have a new line Kallax products to fill our wax needs.

Seems like the by the bocket or crate sales usually consist of yard rock salted with a couple nice pieces. If tou landscape with your cas offs and the price is right it can be OK though. A bit too far for us this weekend anyway.

I sure don't see 40 ton in the pictures. It might be kind of picked over, there is a package of flat rate boxes in one of the pictures so someone has been selling some off by the flat rate box full.

They may not have put photos up of the entire lot. I would certainly stop by with my truck if I was in that end of the world.

Thanks for the tip, Matt! I'm going to try playing hooky tomorrow and check out this guy's "tonnage". I used to live right in downtown Edmonds a block away from the ferry docks. Miss that place. There's also an awesome little rock shop not too far away, right off of Main Street, that's worth checking out if you find yourself in the area. They just moved into a larger space, but they're still on Main. www.thewishingstone.com/ Great shop. Funny you guys should mention milk crates...My grandparents owned a dairy farm in Oregon that has been out of business now for a long time, but there's a BUNCH of old Sunshine Dairy milk crates just sitting around collecting dust and cobwebs that nobody else seems to care about. I think next time I head down there I'm going to rent a u-haul and snatch them up!

Did you go to the sale. I ended up deciding to skip town Thursday for some R&R at the cabin.
