Can anyone point me to some nice amazonite? Why is it when I want something, I can''t find it? Has that gotten hard to get, too? Or, just bad timing on my part? Jeezy peezy.

I was going to suggest you check with the owners of the Morefield Mine. I didn't think there is ever a shortage of Amazonite there. But I just checked their web site and they are closed this spring and summer. It might still be worth a phone call or e-mail to see if they have any stockpiled that they can sell you. www.morefieldgemmine.com/Larry C.

How much are you looking for and what size? Tim I'd like at least one, maybe 2 good slabs abt 5 inch range size. Something that will fit in a sfrb. Should be 1/4 inch thick. You can pm me pictures and prices if you have some. THANK YOU!

They could be a nice day trip for me. Va amazonite is really nice, too. Thank you for pointing them out. I'll try to remember this for when they open back up. I could bring the grandkids there. Bookmarked.

I just picked up a 20+ pound chunk today at a small gem show and have it in the saw as we speak. It looks to be darned solid and even has a narrow streak of quartz running through it

The thought had crossed my 'lil pea brain, but wanted to wait until they are off the saw so I can see if they are any good or not. Color is nice and pretty consistent without all those white streaks Amazonite is known for, so hopes are high
